Massapequa landscaper helps Center Moriches get ready for its close-up
March 15, 2010
(Massapequa, N.Y.)–Landscape designer and masonry contractor Island Associates just completed a supporting role in an episode of Home Rules, a new series that HGTV will premier on Monday, March 15, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. In the series, life coach and former WNBA player Fran Harris helps frazzled families find harmony at home through rules of engagement that ease the pandemonium, and well-designed spaces that enhance their lives.
“We were honored to be invited to participate in a Home Rules project,” said Island Associates’ president Douglas Connell. “What you see is real, and all of the work is completed in one day, with a very efficient production company coordinating several companies’ efforts inside and outside the house.”
Island Associates’ project with Home Rules involved a Center Moriches family home that was in need of a warmer welcome. A new gravel driveway neatly bordered by railroad ties and a new Grinnell paving stone walkway now carve an inviting path to the front door. Island Associates also redesigned the flower beds to increase the warmth and charm of the Center Moriches home. The episode airs on March 19.
