Haiti Relief Fund Calling For Donations

(Lynbrook,N.Y.)-January 21, 2010 —In response to the recent tragedy in Haiti, Haiti Relief Fund is reaching out to the community to help be a part of relief efforts. Goods and Monetary donations are being collected at Creative Art Space for Kids located at 48-D Atlantic Ave.in Lynbrook, NY. You can also email info@haitrelieffund.org or call 516-578-0603 to arrange for items to be picked up.
Everything is needed, but here are some examples of what is being collected:
- Sterile Medical supplies for triage: peroxide, alcohol, slings, ace bandages, saline bottles, splints, crutches, sheets, gauze pads, gloves, etc.
- Water and non-perishable food items.
- Diapers, baby clothes, wipes & bottles, infant rice cereal, formula
- Cots and tents.
- Generators, Flashlights, Batteries.
- Clean, gently used clothing, blankets & shoes.
- tote bags, backpacks, etc…
- Monetary Donations
Items for care packages are also welcome, things like: toothbrush/paste, baby wipes, soap, hand sanitizer, deodorant, maxi pads, small packages of aspirins, facial tissues, etc.
Haiti Relief Fund will be collecting goods and donations on an ongoing basis. HRF is also looking for volunteers who want to help in the preparation of goods donations and those who can assist picking up donations.

History: Haiti Relief Fund Inc. was established in 2004 as a Not for Profit Corporation to serve as a humanitarian organization to benefit the residents of Haiti; exclusively for charitable purpose under section 501(c)(3) Internal Revenue Code. Haiti Relief Fund is run by brothers Carlo Thertus and Hansy Thomas who originate from Haiti together they are running relief efforts from New York and Florida.
