April 7, 2009
(Purchase, N.Y.) – The Medical Center for Female Sexuality has hired Deer Park, NY, physician’s assistant, Cathleen Kneidl to help care for its patients. Kneidl will be responsible for performing physical examinations and working with the team to develop treatment plans for patients. She will also perform examinations and treatments for the clinical trials conducted at the Center.
“We are so pleased to have Cathleen join our practice,” said Bat Sheva Marcus, LMSW, MPH, PhD, the clinical director of the Center. “Her warm and welcoming manner encourages patients to open up with her and trust her through their treatment in what is often a very sensitive field.”
Kneidl has fifteen years of experience in women’s health, caring for women. She worked with Planned Parenthood as a senior clinician and site manager. She has also provided surgical technician assistance to Dr. Gary Alter, a plastic surgeon featured on the television program, Dr. 90210. She worked with obstetric and gynecological practices, performing gynecological exams, diagnosis and treatment. She also worked with Long Island Fertility and Endocrinology, performing infertility exams and procedures.
Kneidl earned her bachelor’s degree from the State University of Stony Brook. She then earned her physician’s assistance certification from Albany Medical College. She lives in Deer Park, NY with her husband and two sons.
The Medical Center for Female Sexuality is one of the only treatment centers in the country to integrate a medical and psychological treatment modality. A medical and psychological team works together to evaluate the issues that might be of concern to the patient. Since the MCFS is a medical practice, the treatments are generally covered by most insurance companies. The MCFS can be found on the Internet at www.centerforfemalesexuality.com.
