Harrison Leifer DiMarco Branches Out with The Developmental Disabilities Institute
January 9, 2009
(Rockville Centre, N.Y.) The Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), Long Island’s leading service provider for children and adults with autism, has designated Harrison Leifer DiMarco (HLD) as its agency of record. DDI has been working with HLD’s public relations, marketing and media divisions for over six years and is now utilizing the agency’s digital service capabilities to develop a new Web site.
DDI, a not-for-profit agency headquartered in Smithtown, NY, has more than 30 locations throughout Suffolk and Nassau counties. Serving nearly 1,000 children and adults with a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), DDI is the largest provider of services for individuals with autism on Long Island. It provides educational, vocational, and residential programs, as well as medical and dental services for over 1,500 children and adults with autism or other developmental disabilities. DDI also operates family-centered preschool programs for children with disabilities, as well as typically developing students.
”DDI is one of those special organizations that has a profound effect on the lives of thousands of Long Islanders each and every day,” said Roy DiMarco, HLD President & CEO. “The new Web site will help DDI to educate others even more about autism and the broad ranges of support services that DDI has to offer. “
