American Institute of Architects Long Island Chapter Awards H2M for Excellence in Architecture Design

(Melville, NY) – The American Institute of Architecture Long Island Chapter (AIA-LIC) presented Holzmacher, McLendon & Murrell, P.C. (H2M) with the coveted 2008 ARCHI Award for Excellence in Architecture Design. H2M, Architectural, Engineering, Planning and Laboratory Analysis firm, received the ARCHI in the Institutional Category for their design of the New Jericho Fire Department Headquarters in Jericho, NY.
“We are very proud to receive this high honor from the AIA and would like to thank the AIA for providing us with this recognition. We would also like to thank the entire H2M project team for their efforts and dedication to the project and would like to give a special thank you to the Board of Commissioners of the Jericho Fire District who were an important part of our team and the execution of the project,” said Ronald B. Lanner, R.A., LEED AP, Senior Architect at H2M.
The Long Island Chapter of the American Institute of Architects announced the 2008 Design Award winners at the 44th Annual Awards Gala on November 5. Since 1965, the AIA-LIC has celebrated outstanding architectural achievement through the ARCHI Award Program. The ARCHI recognizes projects built on Long Island as well as projects designed by Long Island Architects.
