Marc Warner Named NYIT Vice President for Communications and Marketing

nyit.jpg (Old Westbury, N.Y.) – Marc Warner has been named vice president for communications and marketing at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT).  Warner will lead NYIT’s global integrated marketing initiatives and guide the university’s award-winning communications, marketing, public relations, and advertising efforts.

“We are delighted that Marc has joined our university during this transformative time,” said NYIT President Edward Guiliano. “His extensive talent and successful track record will open up new channels of communication to help us better serve our students and more effectively deliver our key messages to a global audience.”

Warner has more than 15 years of experience in new media, marketing, interactive advertising, and brand management. He most recently served as director of advertising and brand management at EmblemHealth (the holding company of the recently merged HIP Health Plan of New York and Group Health Incorporated), where he spearheaded the development and launch of the company’s brand advertising and direct marketing, as well as guided its brand architecture. Prior, he was a senior producer at a premier global interactive advertising agency and a supervising producer and corporate liaison for an independent film and video production company. He also analyzed market trends in the technology and health care industries during his tenure at Prudential Financial at its headquarters in Newark, New Jersey.
 
Warner earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, where he received the prestigious Clive Hoffman Media Scholarship in Journalism.  He also holds a master of fine arts degree in film and television from New York University – Tisch Graduate School of The Arts.
