Music School Inc announces Partnership with DAD (Drums And Disabilities) Program to help special needs children on Long Island fight disabilities - First Long Island School will be at Amityville location.
(Amityville, N.Y.) - It was announced today that Jared Feldman, President of Long Island’s top music school, Music School Inc, and the creator of the hugely popular “Drum Fight”, has partnered with Pat Gesualdo, founder of the non-profit, Mayor Bloomberg accredited DAD (Drums And Disabilities) Program which uses drum therapy in order to help children throughout Long Island fight disabilities at their Amityville location. The DAD Program helps special needs children develop retention, coordination, self esteem, physical and cognitive functioning in schools and communities throughout the world.
“We are humbled and honored to be able to offer DAD services such as studio lectures, seminars and classes at our Amityville location, a first for a Long Island Music School.” said Jared Feldman, Founder, Music School INC. In addition to the in house offerings, MSI and DAD will also be able to offer in home therapy sessions.
A press conference and ribbon cutting ceremony will take place in early October and a national rock tour featuring Drum Fight and top Long Island band Paging Grace with nationally renowned artists and sponsors including Modern Drummer Magazine and GMS Drums - will follow early in 2009.
“It is extremely important to help everyone understand the requirements of special needs children and adults,” says DAD Program President/CEO Pat Gesualdo. “One of the best ways to help people fight disabilities on Long Island is to join forces with Music School Inc. MSI and DAD also plan to inform and educate residents of Long Island by providing in-depth lectures and workshops to assist parents, teachers and family members, on raising and educating special needs children.
