(Patchogue, N.Y.) Briarcliffe College is introducing a series of stimulating evening workshops open to the general public.  The newly offered non-credit community courses are to be held at the Patchogue campus, 225 West Main Street.  The line-up offers something for everyone, with “Writing Your Family History” and “How To Manage Your 401K Plan” and “Learning Quickbook Step-by-Step” just three of the 13 courses being offered.

According to Patchogue Campus Director Lou Commisso, Briarcliffe College recognizes that sharing knowledge is a pursuit enjoyed by people of all ages and from all walks of life.  “We are a career education college and some of these courses are perfect ‘how-to” workshops for professionals, while others offer personal development and stimulation, or guidance in our personal lives,” said Mr. Commisso.

Briarcliffe’s attractive, modern building is a natural location for evening classes, providing a generous, well lighted and secure parking lot and an on-site café for refreshments.  Classrooms are outfitted with the latest computer technology and software programs, and the workshop instructors are full-, part-time or adjunct faculty members at Briarcliffe with experience and knowledge to share.

Classes begin in October or November and registration is now underway and continues through October 3rd.  Tuition varies from $75.00 per person for a three-session (two hours each) class on “Utilizing the Internet for Investing” to $200 for a four-session (two hours each) “Intro to CSS and XHTML” on web site creation.
