Dowling College To Host Masters Students from the University of the West Indies

(Brookhaven, N.Y.) Dowling College’s School of Aviation will host a contingency of Masters students from the University of the West Indies from August 3-7 2008. As part of Dowling’s growth strategy, they are developing relationships with foreign academic institutions to collaborate on research and other opportunities. The students from the University of the West Indies must complete a foreign research project as part of their graduation requirements.
The School of Aviation will house the contingency in the Residence Halls and has arranged for visits to JFK International Airport (ATC tower and terminal), Islip Airport, The Cradle of Aviation, TWA 800 Memorial and Dowling College. The total group is approximately 15. Numerous School of Aviation faculty and staff will be participating.

We want to expose students to the international scene and educate them on all the possible career opportunities emerging in the industry in addition to learning how other cultures conduct business within one industry.”
