Over 100 Kohl’s employees will be participating in the event. Cheryl White of Kohl’s said “Kohl’s is committed to giving back to the communities we serve. Kohl’s associates look forward to volunteering for the A-Team whose dedication is to children’s health and education. Kohl’s gives grants to non-profit organizations as well. The Bowl-A-Thon is just one way Kohl’s cares for kids.”

Kohl’s is hosting the Bowl-A-Thon in hopes to raise money to send children affected by neuromuscular disease to MDA Summer Camp in Spring Valley, NY in late August. “MDA summer camp is a special week of the year when children with muscular dystrophy can enjoy themselves in true peer group and can participate in full range outdoor activities adapted to their abilities,” MDA District Director, Deidre Treanor said. “Besides being great fun, camp helps youngsters grow and develop emotionally and socially-it’s truly the highlight of the year, for both campers and volunteers.”

MDA is a voluntary health agency dedicated to helping more than one million Americans affected by neuromuscular disorders through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive services, and far reaching professional and public health education.
