H2M Participates in Student Career Day at Half Hollow Hills Middle School

(Melville, N.Y.) – H2M, a multi-disciplined Engineering, Architectural and Laboratory Analysis firm, has been helping students learn about the careers options that exist on Long Island. John Schnurr, P.L.S., Chief of Survey; Michael Lantier, Electrical Engineer; Andrea Sobocinski, Accounting Project Manager and Jen Curtin, Project Coordinator in the Architecture department all from H2M had the opportunity to introduce students to four different careers at the West Hollow Career Day at the West Hollow Middle School in Melville, NY. By educating students at an early age about the various opportunities available, H2M hopes to create more interest in the fields of Architecture, Engineering, Surveying and Accounting.

The students were all been divided into groups depending on which fields they showed interested in. The presenters all discussed how they became interested in their career, what training they needed for their career as well as where they work now and what their responsibilities are.

H2M showcased careers in Engineering, Architecture, Surveying and Accounting and illustrated to students that an education is the key to success. Engineers, Surveyors, Architects and Accountants are in high demand and a career in any of those fields helps to improve and enhance everyday life. Introducing students to people in those fields helps to develop potential career interest.
