Largest Horseracing Event of this Century in Anticipation of Long Island’s Triple Crown Winner
May 29, 2008
(Long Island, N.Y.) Nassau Downs OTB will be hosting what promises to be the horseracing event of this century. Jan Rushton, NYRA and Nassau OTB handicapper, will welcome home Long Island’s conquering hero, Big Brown and wish his Long Island Horseracing Team victory in what many believe will be the first Triple Crown winner of this century.
Long Island’s favorite sons, Michael Iavarone and Rich Schiavo, the proud owners of Big Brown; Richard Dutrow, Big Brown’s trainer; and invited jockey, Kent Desormeaux, will be available to sign commemorative photos, followed by a question and answer period. Come join us in congratulating our hometown boys. Catch the spirit and come dressed in a brown shirt or pants and receive $1.00 off admission to the Race Palace.
All profits from sales of commemorative items at this event will go our three nominated organizations the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, Inc., Backstretch Employee Service Team of New York Inc, and the Belmont Child Care Association.
