Clinton, Obama Strategist Lobbied Accusations; Obama Extends Lead
March 17, 2008
(Long Island, N.Y.) Illinois Senator Barrack Obama’s campaign strategist team hurled accusations against rival candidate NY Sen. Hilary Clinton’s campaign over the latter’s ethical standing and governance accountability.
Robert Gibbs who serves as Obama’s campaign communications director asked Clinton’s camp to release all of her post-White house tax returns after she served as First Lady during former president and husband Bill Clinton’s tenure. Gibbs also noted that documents such as Clinton’s pet projects on spending bills and financial imprints of her Clinton foundation and Clinton Libraries should also be disclosed publicly to avoid scrutiny.
“What is lurking in those documents?” Gibbs asked as the two campaigns had dueling phone conference calls with reporters. “There are gaps that need to be filled,” said senior Obama strategist David Axelrod.
Hilary Clinton’s chief strategists Mark Penn responded in saying, “This is a tried and true technique of the Obama campaign that has repeatedly shifted negative when they find the momentum working against them, they are just trying to deflect public opinion from their losses in Ohio and Texas and faced with Clinton strength in Pennsylvania.”
On Monday, Barrack Obama will head out to Pennsylvania to campaign in the state for its delegate-rich primary on April 22. Political experts agree that Clinton holds a sizeable lead over Obama in Penssylvania as the former first lady holds a strong following in the state. Obama strategist David Axelrod said in a statement, “‘We are going to contest vigorously in Pennsylvania, Obama would be there on Monday and Tuesday. She (Clinton) does have a lot of advantages there — and we understand that. We know we have an uphill fight there. … But in no way are we giving up on Pennsylvania.”
Meanwhile, Sen. Barrack Obama’s campaign received a few more delegates on Monday to further extend his total delegates lead over Clinton after he secured nine more delegates on the basis of caucus night projections of former candidate John Edwards in Iowa’s caucus held on January of this year which switched Saturday to Obama. Current Demorcratic Party delegate count has Obama leading with 1,617 delegates while Clinton securing 1,498.

Got something to say?

There are serious Questions lurking in her undisclosed tax returns from 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
We can give her time for 2007 - and I’m sure she’ll file for an extension past 4/15 - but we should put IMMENSE pressure on her to fully disclose her tax records that are already filed and just need to be copied and distributed to the press.
What are you hiding Hillary?

All you Obama lovers just look at facts he lied about his religion and his affiliation with his pastor anti American. It shows where he was in church listening to anti white speeches. He lied about his meetings with Canada regarding NAFTA; he lied about his dealings with Rezko. His supporters said Hillary will do anything to win the election. He is doing the same, he severed his relations with the where he was going for 20 years just to win the election. He is just a smooth talker and a liar .He isn’t telling anything that will ruin his chances to be our leader. You Obama lovers do not want to face facts. How can he face Americans after all this?

Nisha: 1. Obama did not “lie” about meeting with Canadians, where were you when it actually came out that it was found that the Clinton campaign actually contacted the Canadians about Nafta (did you miss when the Canadian embassy came out and cleared Obama of that false accusation). Are you that uniformed that you choose to believe what you want instead of what is clearly in your face. 2. He’s also been open about his “dealings” with Rezko. 3. Hillary WILL do anything to win the election. It seems that you are clearly the one who will not face facts. There is a huge difference between being loyal and being naive Good Luck to you in all your future endeavors–it is clear that you will need it.

I’m wondering why Obama still thinks he can be considered for the nomination after the revelations of the extremely provocative anti -white and anti American vitriolic of his church pastor whom he claimed was his spiritual adviser for more than 20 long years. Suddenly he awakes to find he needs to condemn the man he claimed to be his mentor.
What a LIAR? What a HYPOCRITE? How can such a man be trusted to hold the highest office in the land?

lol @ nisha..he was listening to anti-white speeches in church…hahaha…you need to get your facts straight..what part of the sermon or “speech” was “anti-white”. America has done wrong things, there is no doubt about that. Just because someone has the nuts to say it makes them anti-america or “anti-white” in your lingo. So everyone who said something about the vietnam war should be termed anti-america or “anti-white”. He “lied” waaaaaaaaaah waaaaaaaaah. Stop whining. You have no clue whatsoever do you; just supporting clinton because she is a woman and white. What is her so called foreign policy experience? Going on a world tour with hubby and shaking hands with dignitaries? Let me also tell you something, you will never be “white”. You are just a wanna-be.

Sad American,
If you need to ask which part of the sermon or “speech” was “anti-white”, you will also need to ask Obama need to condemn the Rev. Wright only now after a 20year wait.
Now perhaps you understand why we tell you that your hero Barack has indeed betrayed and misled YOU and a whole lotta of Americans. Your nick says it all,,,,sad Americans!

Thats politics for you Mr. Silverstone. Most of the politicians not only in America, but also everywhere else suck big time and are a bunch of liars. So people always have to choose between the lesser of the two evils. Sad but true!! Hillary is not the epitome of honesty or integrity either. Republicans (conservaties anyway) just wanna force religion and their views(opinions) on everyone else. I still maintain that the Iraq war had nothing to do with so-called “freeing” the Iraqi people. So, I would rather support someone who would (hopefully) do something for the common man than corporations. Hillary is not the one to do that, neither is John Mccain. What do we have left??
