400,000 People Congregate in San Francisco, No Reporters

October 9, 2007

EDITOR’S NOTE: The following column addresses issues of homosexuality and is written to inform adults. It contains graphic descriptions of the Folsom Street Fair, an annual sexually charged, perverse event in San Francisco with mostly homosexual participants. The column shows what is at stake in the cultural battle and what the future holds for the society and our children if activists succeed in defining homosexuality as a protected status.

ALEXANDRIA, La. (BP)–An estimated 400,000 people congregated in San Francisco on Sept. 30. Crowds flooded the neighborhood known as “South of Market” to take part in the 24th annual Folsom Street Fair. People from all over the nation — even the world -– flocked to the Golden Gate city to celebrate and call attention to an aspect of their lives of which they are very proud.

Conspicuously absent from the huge gathering in northern California were reporters from any major news outlet. The Associated Press, United Press International and Reuters News Service apparently were all no shows. Even though the event took place in the Golden State, there were no reporters from the Los Angeles Times.

It would seem the mere fact that 400,000 people gathered in one place would be news, regardless of the reason they came together. The big three television networks didn’t seem to think so since they also were missing in action.

If it were not for a few niche and alternative news publications, no one outside of San Francisco would have an inkling of what took place at the Folsom Street Fair. So what is the event and what exactly takes place? Be forewarned, the following descriptions are not for the faint of heart, even though they have been edited to mute the content.

The Folsom Street Fair is one of San Francisco’s premier celebrations of alternate lifestyle — specifically “leather pride.” The “leather community” is a euphemism for those that indulge in sadomasochism, also known as S&M. These are individuals that enjoy bondage, whipping, spanking and other unmentionable perversions.

While the Folsom Street Fair does draw a few heterosexual sadomasochists to the event, it is clear from reports that the overwhelming number celebrating were homosexuals –- mostly male.

The most detailed report of the event came from Pink News, an organization that describes itself as “Europe’s largest gay news service.”

“American police adopted a distinctly relaxed approach to this year’s Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco,” Pink News observed, “taking little notice of the hundreds of men baring their genitals on every street corner.”

According to Pink News, there were orgies in the street, drawing “laughs and photographs from curious onlookers but no police action.” Homosexual men and women walked down the street, completely naked, performing sex acts, the website reported. (Keep in mind the website provided far more detailed descriptions.)

Sounds like a wonderful event, doesn’t it?

So why did the news media ignore a gathering of 400,000 people? What would cause them to collectively look the other way? Because the Folsom Street Fair is as much a celebration of unbridled homosexual behavior as it is a fetish festival.

If the truth of what took place in the streets of San Francisco on Sept. 30 were broadcast from sea to shining sea, the “homosexual rights” movement would suffer a significant setback. If grassroots Americans saw homosexuals blatantly flaunting their sexuality in public, they would be appalled.

Make no mistake about it: America’s major news organizations are complicit in promoting homosexuality. Hence, they chose to act as if the Folsom Street Fair did not even happen.

Even a bit of controversy did not cause the major news groups — apart from a few conservative talk show hosts — to give the event any attention. This year’s Folsom Street Fair official promotional poster featured a parody of Da Vinci’s Last Supper with Jesus and his disciples replaced by costumed sadomasochists with sex toys on the table.

Two conservative organizations — Concerned Women for America and the Catholic League — both called attention to the poster. That led to an additional controversy over Miller Brewing Company, one of the fair’s major sponsors. While Miller did not pull its money from the event, it did instruct the fair’s organizers to remove its logo from the poster.

Even with two major public policy groups calling attention to the event and its promotion, no major news organization, with the exception of Fox News, made any reference to the controversy.

According to Texas Media Watch, a non-partisan and independent media monitoring project, the most prevalent evidence of news bias can be found in the stories a news organization chooses to cover and the ones it chooses to ignore.

Let the infamous and unbiblical Fred Phelps and six of his followers show up to protest anywhere, and it will make the news. But 400,000 people show up at the Folsom Street Fair and the media completely ignores it because they understand it will impact negatively on the homosexual movement.

Still think there’s no media bias?

Opening Night Extravaganza at The Bunkhouse, Fire Island

October 8, 2007

the_bunkhouse.jpgLast weekend I was proud to host Opening Night at the New and Improved Bunkhouse in Sayville Long Island. The quaint town of Sayville Long Island has a rich legacy of gay history. Traveling to The Bunk House these days, you are more likely to encounter one of the Fab Five or even the legendary Harvey Fierstein, en-route to Cherry Grove. The Bunk House is one of the most exciting sophisticated innovative clubs on the Island, with everything from country western nights and go-go dancing, to Tuesday movie night. This is the sort of watering hole where before long you most definitely will be part of the family — and the family grows, especially in summer when the place cranks with the Fire Island set.

As you approach this hidden obscure rustic long Island treasure, a bright neon sign welcomes you into something you could never be prepared for. Upon entry, a collection of famous drag divas decorate the club walls and immediately the show begins. The entertainment ensues complete with lip syncing and gyrations to popular tunes. Each night has a certain theme to it, and hopefully you are lucky enough to go when they are in effect.

Opening night was an extravaganza of glamorous drag queens on the runway doing the Fashion Walk. The night began with spectacular performances by Porshe, Drag Star extraordinariness Ariel Sinclair, Aura Stone and the glamorous platinum blonde China and The Dirty Dance Diva Wendy Diamond. The night completed with a Cognac Wellerlane Lookalike Contest which was won by Ms. China who took home the title Miss Cognac Wellerlane Lookalike 2007.

Support for Ron Paul Is Real

October 7, 2007

ron_paul.jpgRon Paul’s $5 million fundraising haul in the last three months…is forcing campaign observers to sit up and take notice.

Paul’s newfound clout was on full display Thursday afternoon, when he sat down with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer for an interview on the Situation Room.

Paul emerges from quasi-anonymity to shock the political world with a $5 million quarterly fund-raising haul — a figure the other GOP candidates ignore at their own peril.

These are just a few of the many such reactions by the media to the $5 million raised for the Paul campaign last quarter. Ron Paul Supporters say the new fourth quarter goal is $12 million.

Communications director Jesse Benton reported yesterday on the high number of television, radio and newspaper interviews there have been since the reported $5 million quarter. His list was long and extensive. Afterwards, he summed up by saying, “It’s been our biggest day — no question.”

Ron Paul’s “just the Internet” support is real, and supporters are doing what is necessary to win the Republican nomination.

About Ron Paul:
Ronald Paul is a Republican from Texas, a physician, and a candidate for U.S. president, 2008. He has represented Texas’s 14th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since 1997, and its 22nd district, 1976 – 1977 and 1979 – 1985. Paul also placed third in the 1988 presidential election as the Libertarian Party nominee, while remaining a registered Republican. After graduation from Duke University School of Medicine and residency in obstetrics and gynecology, he was drafted and served as a flight surgeon during the Vietnam War.

Paul supports free trade, hard money, sharply lower taxes, reduced government, and non-interventionist foreign policy. He voted against the Iraq War Resolution and the Patriot Act. Paul states he has never voted in Congress to raise taxes or to approve an unbalanced budget. He has called for the total abolition of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the federal income tax, as well as the Federal Reserve. He also opposes illegal immigration, gun control, and the existence of many federal agencies.

During his 2008 presidential campaign, Paul has generated strong support on the Internet and is among the top Republican Internet search terms as measured by Hitwise, Alexa, and Technorati. At YouTube, he leads the other presidential candidates, with over 29,000 subscribers. Supporters claim he is unfairly ignored by the media, and cite his victories in four out of five of the 2008 GOP debate sponsors own online and phone text polls to argue he deserves more recognition.

Oklahoma No Longer O.K. for Illegal Aliens

October 7, 2007

govhenry.jpgOklahoma’s Governor Brad Henry has signed a sweeping immigration Reform bill: House Bill 1804, that its sponsor believes will go a long way in dealing with the illegal alien problem in the state.

House Bill 1804 was passed by overwhelming majorities in both the House and Senate of the Oklahoma Legislature.  The measure’s sponsor, State Representative Randy Terrill, says the bill has four main topical areas: it deals with identity theft; it terminates public assistance benefits to illegal; it empowers state and local police to enforce federal immigration laws; and it punishes employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens.

Oklahoma is no longer “O.K.” for illegal aliens, Terrill observes. “When you put everything together in context,” he contends, “the bottom line is illegal aliens will not come here if there are no jobs waiting for them, they will not stay here if there is no government subsidy, and they certainly won’t stay here if they know that if they ever encounter our state and local law enforcement officers, they will be physically detained until they’re deported.  And that’s exactly what House Bill 1804 does.”

The Oklahoma legislator is pleased the bill he sponsored into law was signed by Governor Henry and believes it will go a long way to curb the illegal immigration problem in the state.  “I would remind people that states are separate sovereigns in our federal system,” Terrill points out.

“Anyone who doesn’t understand that needs to go back and take an American
federal government class in college,” he says.

As a result of that sovereignty, the Oklahoma lawmaker insists, “We have as much right - in fact, I would argue, a responsibility - to protect our tax payers against that sort of egregious waste, fraud and abuse as the federal government should have a responsibility to protect that international border, but doesn’t do that.”

Terrill says as long as the federal government refuses to do its job of protecting the international borders of the United States, states like Oklahoma must take action to deal with the problem that is costing taxpayers in the state $200 billion a year in public benefits law enforcement costs, and other resources.

HB 1804 takes effect November 1, 2007 but some hispanic groups are outraged claiming the law is somehow unconstitutional. They are firing back with plans for lawsuits.

U.S. Marshals Pose As Supporters To Arrest Ed and Elaine Brown

October 6, 2007

browns.jpgU.S. Marshals Pose As Supporters To Arrest Ed and Elaine Brown

Tax protesters Ed and Elaine Brown were tricked by US Marshals who entered their home yesterday afternoon posing as supporters. The Marshals entered the house at a time when there were no other supporters present and catching the Browns off guard were able to arrest them and remove them from the property.

For months, convicted tax evaders Ed and Elaine Brown pledged to die in a hailstorm of bullets rather than surrender to federal agents. They had survived on food, water, and supplies delivered by supporters who came from across the country to their heavily fortified, secluded mountain compound in Plainfield, N.H.

The Browns have been in a standoff with authorities since their sentencing in April on tax evasion charges. They insist that there’s actually no law forcing private citizens to pay income taxes and refused to surrender — saying they would not come out alive.

So far the speculation is that the Browns were infiltrated and tricked before being violently subdued as authorities refuse to provide any details behind their arrest beside the fact that they did not peacefully surrender.

It is still unclear whether any violence was used to apprehend the Browns, all that is known is that they are now in federal custody and have begun serving their 63 month sentence.

Marshals spoke at a press conference at the federal courthouse in Concord NH today.

U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier has commented:

“Ultimately, this open-door policy that they seemed to have which allowed the Browns to have some supporters bring them supplies, welcome followers and even host a picnic –this proved to be their undoing. They invited us in. We escorted them out.”

A small team of marshals pulled off the ruse, arresting the Browns without incident on the couple’s front porch, Monier told local press.

Reports are suggesting that weapons have been seized at the property including “explosive devices”, and “booby traps” which were placed in the woods. Monier added that the Browns may face further charges relating to the weapons.

Monier said that officials have seen no trouble from other supporters of the Browns, but he warned that anyone who thinks about getting involved or helping them now could face charges.

The Browns will likely face additional charges related to the weapons found in the house, Monier said. They were convicted in January of scheming to avoid federal income taxes by hiding $1.9 million of income between 1996 and 2003 and were sentenced in April.

Monier would not reveal where the Browns are, saying only that they were being transferred to a federal prison. He said their location would be announced once they arrive.

Yanks Look to Even Series in Game 2 vs. Indians

October 5, 2007

torre.gifAfter finishing the regular season as one of the hottest teams in baseball, the Yankees had to feel confident heading into the American League Division Series. By qualifying as the Wild Card team, the Bombers had to travel to Cleveland for the first two games against the AL Central Division champion Indians, who they defeated in all six meetings during the summer. Still, all in all, having set their rotation up with Chien-Ming Wang facing Indians ace C.C Sabathia, Joe Torre’s club had to get at least a split on the road.

After dropping the first game by a lopsided score of 12-3, the pressure is on Andy Pettitte to get even. After taking an early 1-0 lead on a disputed home run by leftfielder Johnny Damon, Wang allowed the Indians to take a two-run lead in the bottom of the first inning. Cleveland, who is back in the postseason after a six-year absence, never looked back and pounded Wang and reliever Ross Ohlendorf for 11 earned runs and 13 hits in only 5 2/3 innings.

Sabathia, who entered the game with a 1-7 record and a 7.13 ERA over his career against New York, was not as sharp as he was during the regular season, but left the game after five innings with a 9-3 lead. He also matched his walks for the entire month of September with six and allowed two solo home runs to left-handed hitters. It was his first time facing the Yankees in three years.

PHOTO: “They did a better job in just about every aspect of the game,” saluted Yankees manager Joe Torre. “No excuses. We got our rear ends kicked.”

Medical Lab Mistake: You Don’t Really Have Cancer

October 5, 2007

masectomy.jpgDiagnosed with a highly aggressive form of breast cancer, 35-year-old Darrie Eason, a 35-year-old single mother from Long Beach, Long Island, N.Y., was told she had Breast Cancer, but Learned after operation her biopsy slide was mixed up.

After being told she had invasive lobular carcinoma and that she would need a radical double mastectomy, Eason went to get a second opinion. The second doctor “relied on the same mislabeled sample.” according to Darrie Eason

Darrie underwent a double mastectomy and after the surgery, she learned the unthinkable — she never had cancer at all. Two weeks later, her doctor called. He had discovered a horrible medical blunder.

A state report blames Eason’s mix-up on a former technician at CBLPath lab who mislabeled her biopsy results. The report said the technician “cut corners” and probably mislabled her results because he/she was handling more than one specimen at a time.

But in a statement, CBLPath Medical Lab said, “The New York State Department of Health found no systemic problems and no deficiencies were cited against the lab.”

Eason filed a lawsuit last month against the laboratory, seeking an undisclosed sum. Her attorney, Steven Pegalis, said they hope to learn whether or not the error was a system failure. Eason is not suing her doctors, because they were making diagnoses based on information from the lab.

Attorney Steven Pegalis of Lake Success says people must be able to trust a medical lab.

The doctor who signed off on Eason’s diagnosis no longer works for the company, but hospital directors claim her departure “has nothing to do with this case.” The technician responsible for the mixup also no longer works there.

Troubled Britney Spears Scores A Hit

October 5, 2007

britney.jpgTroubled Britney Spears Scores A Hit

Troubled Britney Spears has finally got some good news, her new song is now a success on the music charts.

Despite the pop star’s turbulent personal life and the humiliation of her much-panned performance at MTV’s Video Music Awards, Gimme More jumped from No. 68 to No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100.

The song, released to radio stations in August, also topped the US magazine’s Hot Digital Songs chart at No. 1 with 179,000 downloads,

Gimme More is the first single from her new album, set for release on November 13.

Last month, a judge said Spears, 25, showed “a habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol”.

She was then ordered to complete random drug and alcohol tests twice a week, as well as meeting weekly with a “parenting coach”, according to court documents.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline separated 11 months ago
The judge told Spears and Federline to complete a parenting class too.

Earlier this week, a judge ordered the 25-year-old singer to temporarily hand over custody of her two sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline.

After reportedly missing two random drug tests earlier this month because she overslept, Britney will now undergo strict drug testing. The judge ruled that he could regard any missed test as a failed one.

On Wednesday, a Los Angeles court commissioner granted her some visiting rights, but Federline, 29, remains full-time father to Sean Preston, two, and Jayden one-year-old Jayden James.

Another custody hearing is scheduled for October 26.

Senate Weighs Costs Associated With Marijuana Policies

Senate Committee Weighs Costs of ‘Mass Incarceration’ as Marijuana Arrests Top 800,000

waste.jpgWASHINGTON, D.C. — As the Senate Joint Economic Committee prepared to hold a hearing today examining the costs associated with the United States’ exploding prison population, marijuana policy reformers urged the lawmakers to consider recent statistics suggesting an epidemic of frivolous marijuana arrests.

The hearings come as the U.S. prison population – including rising numbers of nonviolent offenders – nears what many experts believe to be an economic as well as a humanitarian crisis.

Officials at the Marijuana Policy Project cited several recent government and independent reports suggesting that misguided marijuana policies play a major role in prison overpopulation:

The FBI’s 2006 Uniform Crime Reports, released Sept. 12, revealed that marijuana arrests reached record numbers for the fourth year in a row, with 829,627 arrests, or one arrest every 38 seconds. Eighty-nine percent were for possession – not sale or manufacture. Meanwhile, marijuana use rates remain far higher than they were 15 years ago when marijuana arrests totaled nearly a third the current number.

Ron Paul Campaign Raises Over $5MILLION In Third Quarter

October 4, 2007

ron.jpgRon Paul Campaign Raises Over $5,000,000 In Third Quarter

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA - The Ron Paul 2008 presidential campaign raised $5,080,000 during the third quarter of 2007. That is an impressive 114 percent increase from the second quarter and no small sum for an insurgent campaign.

“Dr. Paul’s message is freedom, peace and prosperity,” said Paul campaign chairman Kent Snyder. “As these fundraising numbers show, more Americans each day are embracing Dr. Paul’s message.”

Ron Paul’s 114 percent increase is in stark contrast to the decrease suffered by Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, and John McCain. Romney’s fundraising was down 29 percent. Giuliani was down 40 percent. McCain was down 55 percent.

About Ron Paul:
